Viewing Processes

Terminal Services Manager also provides information on processes that are running on a terminal server. This information is available from the Processes tab of the right pane (see Figure 1). Table 1 summarizes the information gathered from the processes.

Table 1. Process Information
ColumnDescription
ServerName of the terminal server the process is associated with.
UserUser account associated with the process.
SessionSession on the terminal server associated with this process.
IDSession identifier.
PIDProcess identifier.
ImageName of the executable associated with the process.

Monitoring Sessions

The Sessions tab of Terminal Services Manager provides you the information about terminal services sessions including services, listener, and console (see Figure 2). Table 2 summarizes the session monitoring information.

ServerName of the terminal server the session is associated with.
SessionCurrent session running on the server.
UserUser account of the session.
IDSession identifier.
StateSession status such as active, connected, shadow, listen, disconnected, reset, idle, down, or init.
TypeRemote desktop client type.
ClientNameName of the computer using the session.
IdleTimeTime elapsed since last input.
LogOnTimeLogon date and time.
CommentAdditional information, if available.
